Mr.ismael added that GBI work during the marketing season of wheat and barley of 2011 was distinguished ,as the marketed quantities have reached up to 1735646 million mts  in all its kinds although the bad weather conditions and decline of rain that accompanied the planting period .

Mr.ismael cleared that GBI  continue supplying private and governmental mills with wheat and according to a certain mixture adopted by the company And especially by the actual available for grain  

he  pointed out that um0_ qasr port  received five vessels loaded with more than 209920 thousand mts of Russian and Canadian wheat besides  a vessel loaded with 30225 thousand mts of southern American rice (Uruguay, Argentine)   during the last period of year 2011

On the other hand, the marketing sites continue receiving  the paddy crop from farmers and peasants where the received quantities have reached to 100504 thousand mts till today and Najaf city sill at the lead among other marketing sites distributed  over its seven sits with total quantity (66778)thousand mts of wheat in all its kinds, as for Diwaniya city the received quantities have reached about 32990 thousand mts of wheat in all its kinds distributed over its six marketing sits and Muthanna city received 736 thousand mts.  

 Marketing sites related to GBI continue receiving paddy crop from farmers and marketers in Najaf, Diwaniya and Muthanna cities.

This was stated by Mr. hassan ismael ibrahim Dg of GBI. confirming that marketing sites in the mentioned cities have received 87670thousanad mts till today distributed as fallows: 27580 thousand mts in Diwaniya city ,59447 thousand mts in najaf city and 643 mts in Muthanna city.

Mr. Hassan said that the company put all its administrative, technical and calculation staff to success the marketing season because of the importance of paddy crop , this attention gives us an incentive for further work and strive to please everyone.

Ismael cleared that current marketing season Promising well by comparing what has been received over the past year, which have reached up to (72 447) thousand mts.

A review of the year process and the accompanying of achievements concerning the main work of the company and likely work that will provide two basic items (wheat and rice) of ration card items were discussed during the meeting.   

 Mr.ismael said that this year is unprecedented by securing a great  storage of wheat which considered the basic of the food.

Dg of GBI said that such meetings will lead to correct paths that may be wrong ,as well as, the fact of what is required to work is a good example, which serve as an example for all employees of the company and we may be  in absences as a result of momentum of work.

Many matters That would limit the case of delay in completion of the work  and with great desire to overcome all the problems in all works were discussed during the meeting and by two main principles (intensity and soft)in order to convince all parties.

They discussed also, focusing on the importance of planning and necessity to take its role in policy –making work, Mr.ismael  directed all departments managers to take their role and increasing unannounced visits to the work sites.

       Engineer Hassan Ismail Ibrahim DG of GBI said that Najaf city have received 38905 thousand mts and by its marketing sites distributed as fallows: 348 mts of bulk amber baddy and 29,633 thousand mts of jasmine paddy besides 812  mts of bagged amber paddy and 6686 thousand mts of bagged jasmine paddy ,as well as,1426 thousand mts of abbisea,ebaa and Firat paddy.

 As for Diwaniyah city, it received  17931 thousand mts distributed as fallows 989 mts of bulk amber paddy and 6681 of bulk jasmine paddy besides 1232 mts of bagged paddy and 8936 mts of bagged jasmine paddy ,as well as, 93 mts of abbisea paddy.

Al Ameri added that Muthanna city have received 519 mts of bagged jasmine paddy in the sit and roofs of the silo.

Dg of GBI cleared that marketing season  formally began in 1/11/2011, but the actual receipt of the quantities start  after more than two weeks  of the season start .

Worth mentioning That marketing sites related to GBI  have received about 83902 thousand mts of paddy last year.

This was stated by hassan ismael ibrahim ,DG of GBI during his visit to the najaf and diwaniyah silos, clarifying that processes of marketing paddy going in smooth and easy way and according to plan as well as mechanisms of the company prepared about this aspect as it is received crop  after successful laboratory examination .according to the prescribed percentage within the required specifications of the paddy, he pointed out that the indulgence in the percentage of moisture will lead to the loss of good quality of rice.

 The received quantities of paddy in  najaf city have reached up to  25496 thousand mts distributed as fallows 146 mts of amber paddy and 9041 thousanad mts of jasmine paddy in kufa silo .as well as, 202 mts of amber besides 10775 thousand  mts of jasmine paddy in abou skier silo, as for diwaniyah city the received quantities of paddy have reached up to 11254 thousand mts and distributed as  fallows 438 mts of amber paddy ,as well as, 4118 thousand mts of jasmine paddy in alshhimea silo and 248 mts of jasmine paddy in Benz of paddy silo.

Worth mentioning that marketing season for this year has begin at 10/11/2011 in najaf and diwaniyah cities besides semawa and theqar cities where theses cities planted the paddy crop according to the germ plan which prepared by ministry of agriculture in cooperation with ministry of water resources and according to the available water quantities of the Iraqi river .
